ABOUT
I’m Jackie Erensen and playing dress-up in Mom’s closet has been a hobby of mine since I could stand on two feet. Now, I spend a minute or two searching for something to “borrow” before making a dramatic dash to exit before she sees me. My point is that if you haven’t discovered this already, I love clothes and anything else that concerns style. There is no fancy explanation to dance around this fact. To channel my interest, I put together this platform. So fetch yourself a cappuccino and stay awhile. Xx
WHY #RITR?
No, I am not a particular fan of running— nor the rain. But the name comes from meaningful roots. I’ll keep it short and sweet to avoid boring you too much: Mom and I used to live in Bangkok, Thailand. Being there (just the two of us…) was unexpected and challenging. Especially during monsoon season, which, if you don’t know, is when it rains in obnoxious amounts. Hailing a cab? A laughable thought! No, Mom would grab my little hands (I was a toddler at the time) and we’d run in the rain. This wasn’t fun. But out of necessity, we did it many, many times. And here’s the catch: we did it very well dressed. Mom dressed me to the tee every single day. She taught me to handle life’s unpredictability with style and stamina—rain or shine. It is this concoction of a lesson that I would like to spread.
